Poland Uncensored: Snaps from the partisan pavillion of the Venice Biennale 2024

On April 17th 2024 an alternative Polish pavillion for the Biennale in Venice opened in an apartment across the street from the Biennale area. Ignacy Czwartos’ exhibition was originally chosen for Poland’s official pavillion, but the plans were axed after Donald Tusk’s government took over late in 2023. Not accepting the political signature of the process, the exhibition’s curator, Piotr Bernatowicz, went on with the exhibition plans, thanks to a kind offer of exhibition space from a private citizen.
